A 57-page migration where nothing broke.
Stan's Heating, Air, Plumbing & Electrical moved from WordPress to a CRM-integrated platform: 57 pages rebuilt by hand, every one verified against the original before cutover.
Delivered for Leadder (leadder.io), where Gondal Tech's principal leads sales and delivery operations.
Context
For a 70-year-old company, the website is the storefront. Stan's Heating, Air, Plumbing & Electrical has served Austin, Texas since 1954, and its 57-page site carried decades of service pages, location pages and the search visibility that comes with them. Downtime and broken URLs were unacceptable.
The challenge
Legacy CMS migrations fail in predictable ways: pages silently dropped in a bulk import, URLs changed without redirects, layouts that almost match the original. The job was to move all 57 pages from WordPress to the new CRM platform without a single one of those failures, and to prove it page by page before switching over.
What we built
-
Full-site inventory
Every page, URL, form and asset catalogued before any build work started, so nothing could be lost quietly.
-
Page-by-page rebuild
Each of the 57 pages rebuilt by hand on the new platform. No bulk import, no scraped markup.
-
Redirect map
Every legacy URL mapped to its new destination, so inbound links, bookmarks and search results kept working.
-
Pixel-level verification
Each rebuilt page compared against the original, side by side, before it was allowed into the cutover set.
-
Cutover
The switch happened only after every page had passed verification and every URL was accounted for.
Results
The standard was simple: no page ships until it matches the original, and no URL is left unmapped. That is the same discipline a municipal website migration deserves, where the pages are bylaws, permits and service information rather than furnace repair.
Where this maps to our offers
This migration discipline, inventory, redirect map and pre-cutover verification, is built into our Municipal Website offer ($45K-$75K), which includes migration from a legacy CMS. See how to buy for the buying method that fits that band, or all comparable projects.
